Jazz Night with Wong Way Down and Florian Favre Trio

Description

Description

Hong Kong and Zurich both have a long tradition of jazz experimentation, and there’s nothing more natural than to make this rich history resonate by inviting young artists from both cities to share the stage.

The pianist Florian Favre is one of the most brillant musician of his generation, a true rising star, constantly acclaimed by the critics here and elsewhere. Through his clear and original writing, he offers a demystified, popular, sensitive and eruptive Jazz: music that doesn’t apologize for it’s requirements yet isn’t only reserved to intellectuals.

Led by star drummer Nate Wong and featuring a collective of renegade musicians, Wong Way Down is Hong Kong’s edgiest swing band. When they gather, leaving behind their regular projects, the chains are off and their energy is unleashed!
