Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra (HKYCO) will embark on a tour visit to Singapore in mid-December to perform a wide-ranging repertoire in collaboration with the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra for music exchange. The HKYCO members will attract the Hong Kong audience with their energetic and passionate performance in the pre-tour concert cum annual concert on 9 December 2018 (Sun) 3pm at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. The concert program includes Peng Xiuwen’s The City without Night, Ode of King of Western Chu and Rhapsody of Tianshan, featuring Principal Erhu of the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra and Principal Sheng of Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra respectively, Chan Pui-fang’s Symphonic Poem “Flowing Water” and Gu Guanren’s arrangement from Somewhere Far Away – Medley of Folksongs from China’s West.
