HKCC Towards 50th Anniversary – Half-Century of Enchanting Singing

“HKCC & Friends” Concert Series

Description

Description

The huge cast of the night included Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra, member of HKCC Board of Directors and the veteran educator Emily Mok, Patrick Lui, Soprano Louise Kwong, Chet Lam, Tap Dance Group R&T, A Cappella ensemble Set Tone Men and Chiu Tsang-hei. The ticket booking was as enthusiastic as always that concert D was a full house show.

The concerts started with a collaboration performance of Junior, Intermediate members and Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra on Children Love Hong Kong: This is Our Home Medley, which brought surprises to audience with a perfect blend of children’s singing and Chinese instruments. The show was also featured with the alumnus Patrick Lui’s Trio Jazz band and energetic dance brought by R&T. 2 HKCC Alumni, Louise Kwong and Chet Lam also sang together with members, while Louise and Concert Choir staged the world premiere of 2 brand new songs written by Steve Ho, HKCC’s composer in residence.

For the finale, all choristers and guests sang HKCC 50th Anniversary Theme Song I Just Want to Sing together to draw a perfect end to the concerts.
