Good Music@The Fringe with James C.: Hungarian Connections

Description

Description

Hong Kong Sinfonietta Concertmaster James Cuddeford takes you on a music journey across centuries and countries. In these four concerts, James has programmed chamber music rarely-heard on the concert stage in Hong Kong, including works by Bach, Haydn, Bartók, and notable contemporary composers such as Ligeti and Cage. He will also perform two distinctive compositions of his teachers, Kurtág and Stockhausen, whom he has close connections with.

Come along, have a drink and enjoy a special evening with James at the Fringe Dairy!

“Hungary provides the focus for this concert, with string music from three of its greatest composers. Included are some of Kurtág’s highly expressive and intensely personal miniatures – a small tribute to my teacher in his 90th birthday year.” — James C.
