Fusion – A Gehu Ensemble Concert

Description

Description

The mellow sound of the eco-gehuThe gehu of HKCO’s Eco-huqin series has come into its own, in terms of tone colour, tonal quality and volume, after years of research and development efforts. An equivalent of the Western cello, it has a distinguished voice that tells touching stories through compelling music. In this concert, the HKCO’s gehu section, led by principal Tung Hiu-lo, will tell tuneful stories from Chinese traditional and folk songs, golden oldies and pop favourites from Hong Kong and Taiwan etc., in a programme that promises to delight all.
