Full Bloom – Paintings By Four Female Chinese Artists

Description

Description

Contemporary by Angela Li gallery is proud to present Full Bloom – an exhibition proposing a collection of works by 6 Chinese female artists. These women expertly using their brush to create ethereal and elegant works on paper that truly need to be seen to be appreciated. Full Bloom is a celebration of their muliebrity and creativity; these women come together to show modern themes and techniques, produced in traditional Chinese mediums, whether it be rice paper, works with traditional ink or watercolour.

“Full Bloom is not about artefacts made by women, it is not about your best female friend. It is a departure from the previous usual colourful scenes, but it is a rosy makeup, dyeing with flowers, tracing butterflies, telling of desires. It floats with shadows in rainbow colours and comes with consciousness and confidence.” – Fang Lei, Curator.
