Description
Born in Hong Kong, Ted Lo graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1976 and began his musical career as a jazz pianist in Boston and New York. By 1990, Lo had collaborated with an impressive list of modern jazz greats including The Ron Carter Quartet, Herbie Mann and Family of Mann, Astrud Gilberto, Dave Valentin, Special Efx and others. Lo has performed at world-renowned venues and jazz festivals such as Blue Note Jazz Club (New York), Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles), Keystone Korner (San Francisco) and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club (London) etc. In 1995, Lo made his debut performance in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, returning to the city in 1996 to pursue a career as musician, educator, composer, arranger and producer in jazz and other genres.
The one and only Ted Lo will be returning to Livehouse, as a solo-pianist, on the second night of Freespace Jazz Fest. Be sure not to miss it!
