Fragments of Lost Time

Description

Description

A quartet formed by Hong Kong New Music Ensemble members offers a concert that features excerpts from Music for a Summer Evening (Makrokosmos III) – a signature work by American composer George Crumb – that is based on the signs of the Zodiac and demonstrates an array of mesmerising and delicate sonority. The performance also includes the world première of “Drones, Soliloquies and Fragments of Lost Time,” featuring the guqin, by Hong Kong composer Tung Lai Shing. In the same concert, performance fellows from The Modern Academy will also showcase selected works by the composer fellows who were tutored by Academy faculty.
