“One of the most imaginative shows for the young you will find. Highly sophisticated and great fun… the children – and the adults – loved it!” – The Advertiser, Sydney
Who hasn’t had once-loved toys that were lost or forgotten? In this warm-hearted show, the quirky Gingham Family sets out on a special mission to rescue misplaced toys and bring them home!
The family travels the world collecting discarded toys of all shapes and sizes and discovering their stories, whether they were stolen by a dog, fallen off a motorbike, or sucked up by a vacuum cleaner. After they are introduced one by one, each little handmade hero is given a name and a wacky sound, a zany stunt and dance routine to perform to offbeat music. Cleverly combing eye-catching projection, hilarious vocal feats, amazing movement and cheerful music, the trio creates a colourful world full of joy. Devised by Christine Johnston, Lisa O’Neill and Peter Nelson, this is a playful, endearing performance for children and adults alike.
