Cheer Bell Gallery is honoured to announce the first collaboration with Owen Wong Kai Wai, presenting his first solo exhibition featuring his recent series “Floating Energy – Exploration” starting from 13 April to 30 April 2019.
The theme “Floating Energy” comes from his recent series of artwork “Floating Energy –
Exploration” which showcases his route to exploration since 2017. Wong considers artworks to be reflections of one’s emotions. He respects Taoism and moderation of Buddhism which is why his art delivers positivity, sensibility, life and harmony. Not only does he express the infinity of art through his perception in his works, but he also looks forward to the future in midst of coordinating with and balancing in the nature. He gives meanings to paintings which make us feel the vitality of water and ink. “Floating Energy – Exploration” reflects his interpretations of the ocean and universe, as if looking down at the natural sceneries and ecological environment from an elevated view. What strikes Wong the most is the intangible force and feelings that come along. The emotions projected in the process of creation are so intense that it gets him even closer to the inspiring energy of the universe, driving him to create continuously. It also becomes his everlasting artistic direction, thoughts and concepts.
