Description
You are cordially invited to attend the opening reception of ‘Finding Utopia’, Sarah Tse’s first curated art exhibition in Hong Kong! Over 40 artworks including sculpture, painting, drawings, installations and prints created by 7 international artists, will be delivered all the way from New York to Hong Kong for this special exhibition. Artists will be present at the opening reception on 22nd March to share their artistic journey with the audience.
‘Finding Utopia’ is an exposé of the journeys of seven young and emerging international artists pursuing their aspirations in New York City. This exhibition brings together artwork of a multitude of medium, putting the artists’ background, perspective, and techniques into full contrast. Selected works include mixed media drawings by Sarah Tse; acrylic and watercolor paintings by Kakeru Asai; multimedia works by Chinmuki, pencil and acrylic paintings by Jun Cen, etching and colour viscosity prints by Kyung Eun You; and lithography and sculpture by Gabriel Beghi. All works have been created within the last five years in New York. The over 40 works of art from seven different artists may conjure a peculiar, cacophonic element for the show space, that is not dissimilar to the diversity and possibilities that the New York art scene embraces. ‘Finding Utopia’ galvanises the audience into imagination and curiosity about the artists’ identities and emotions from their experiences in New York. The exhibition is curated and organised by Sarah Tse, and in collaboration with Artify Gallery in Hong Kong.
