Back in 1936, eight amateur football players from a small fishing village in Hong Kong, still under colonial rule, teamed up with football players from Mainland Chinato enter the Berlin Olympics in Germany. They made history by being the first football team from Chinato have competed in the Olympic football field.
Anthony Chan in this bold adaptation based on historical facts collaborates with the celebrated duo of composer and lyricist Leon Ko and Chris Shum, transforming the heart-warming story of a few young men from Hong Kong striving for their dreams into an exhilarating ode of courage and determination.
