Description
The sunniest of Beethoven’s symphonies, the eighth, is full of sly musical jokes. Although Beethoven felt this symphony was ‘better than the seventh’, it is sometimes eclipsed by its two mighty symphonic neighbours. In this programme Jaap teams it with the fiery Eroica symphony.
