Description

Description

A Physical Theatre Performance with Live
Music, Lighting, Installation, Video
About Technology, Games, Love, Desire,
Death…

E-GARDEN is a virtual world within a
computer game, a black hole puzzling people’s souls and a place to reflect on
one’s past. Once 13 people enter the garden together, all records and memories
will disperse into emptiness. Traces of the past disappear, leaving
only withering flowers in the land of silence. Only Purity survives.

Exploring the extremes of the body.
Opening up to the joy of the soul. An apocalyptic view stemming from death
evolves into the embracing of life.

In 2003, Hoi Chiu started a performance series called “Hoi Chiu.Purity.Love
Making“. TRA-P-ART was the first of the series and was performed
at On & On Theatre, exploring the beauty of love among the cold-blooded,
instinctive insects.

Seven years later, Hoi Chiu continues to develop his own physical
theatre style. He shares his 13 intricate illustrations of different flowers with the
actors, designers and musicians who would then pour their talents into this
multimedia theatre performance in a quest for Heaven.
