Duddell’s Exhibition: Enlightening Times
Visual Arts

Description
Description
The exhibition ‘Enlightening Times’ initiates a dialogue between two major figures in the new Chinese contemporary art scene: Wang Guangle (b. 1976, Fujian) and Li Shurui (b. 1981, Chongqing). Their internationally-acclaimed work has been shown in many intergenerational group exhibitions at contemporary art institutions in China and abroad. In their first encounter at Duddell’s Hong Kong, the artists freely unfold their own universes, as well as their respective journeys into the changing states of light and colour. The exhibition makes it possible to penetrate their unique insights, revealing the richness of their artistic practices and modes of expression. The works are from the collection of John Dodelande, one of the most important collectors and defenders of young Chinese art.
