Dragon – Huang Yongyu’s “Zodiac Series” Exhibition

Description

Description

Dragon is a totem and the head of the four auspicious animals in ancient China. It has been regarded as the symbol of the imperial power. All emperors in China said the they were the “True Dragon” from Heaven. All personal items used by emperors were decorated with dragons, such as the dragon bed, dragon robes and the dragon palace. Chinese people even say they are the sons of dragons.

To celebrate the coming of the Year of the Dragon, Huang is presenting his latest creation of his zodiac series, “Dragon”, which is limited to 1000 editions. In contrast to the fierce five-paw dragon in the ancient dynasties, Huang’s work is vivid and animated. It symbolizes a blessing of great vigor for the New Year.
