Classics For Juniors 2014: Treasure Island

Description

Description

When Jim Hawkins opens Billy Bones’ sea chest, his life changes forever. He finds a treasure map marking the spot where the famous pirate, Captain Flint has buried his loot.

Squire Trelawney and Doctor Livesey decide to go and find the treasure and invite Jim to come along. The Squire buys a boat, the Hispaniola, and on the way to the Treasure Island, Jim meets many strange and dangerous characters, including the one-legged ship’s cook, Long John Silver.

On the island, Jim runs into Ben Gunn who has been marooned there for many years. With the help of Ben Gunn, he bravely defeats the pirates with Squire Trelawney and his men. They find Flint’s treasure and sail home triumphant!

Adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel, this play will take you on an exciting, action-packed nautical adventure!
