Carmina Burana
Music

Description
Description
Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana is without doubt one of the most popular and often-heard works in the choral and orchestra repertory. It is typically received as an elemental, almost orgiastic celebration of the pleasures of life. This year, the Bach Choir will present this work in the composer-authorized reduced version for two pianos and percussion, which draws the audience’s attention to the work’s essential rhythmic foundation as well as placing greater focus on the text.
