An Evening of French Music
Music

Description
Description
French music intrinsically emanates linear elegance underpinned by flamboyant harmony. Performers often display meticulous and sensitive touch towards the instruments. From the days of Louis XIV to the 20th century, for more than 300 years Paris had been the European cultural centre of music, art, literature, ballet and fashion. This concert dedicates works by Saint-Saëns, Berlioz, Fauré, Massenet and Franck: the audience will be transported to an imaginary world filled with transcendent elation, where the spirit may cruise with the music and enjoy consummate freedom.
