Description

Description

Loop: Leung Yan Ting Tiffan y(BMus1)
《Loop》takes you to my life.To commence with preparing DSE, had a stiff, hustle and bustle and huge study pressure life. Had eight hours school lessons every day, stayed and studied in class after school every day, had several tutorial lessons. The pace of life was tight. When I entered a four-month long summer holiday, which was a short period of downshifting lifestyle. At the beginning after DSE, I wasted my time on relaxation. Later, I joined a heap of activities to fill up my schedule. In APA, my hectic learning life starts again. The pace of life keeps looping, fast slow fast…

Chaos: Yeung Hoi Ching (BMus1)
Glide over dark fields and leave trails of roses left to grow. Healing my pieces and guiding them all back home.

Murky and Sunset: Yip Ka Chun Kyle (ADip1)
Sunset and Murky light, providing a image of different form.

Sense of Space: Yu Tsz Long (BMus1)
《茫》,《忙》,《亡》are the three sections of the piece to describe the theme“Sense of Space”. It contains three different atmospheres and impressions. They also mean people living in Hong Kong have lost their direction in their life、 they need to work in hurry in every time、 they have lost their space and time.
茫:lost, at a loss and indistinct
忙:pressing, without leisure and busy
亡:lost, escape and perish

Origin: Hui Nok Yin (BMus1)

The Big bang. The Relativity. Entropy: Tang Chak Yan (BMus1)
In thermodynamics and chemistry, entropy is a measurement of disorder, the entropy of anything will only increase in normal circumstances, and so the universe is getting more and more chaotic. This piece depicts two substances with high and low energy level being combined, by the idea of entropy, the energy spreads out evenly between these two substance, but we would never understand how the universe works.

Is There? Wu Hou Lam (ADip1)
The piece is inspired by Chapter 9 of Xi Xi’s Novel “My City”. “There were a few gray train wagons opposite the gate of the Farewell Pavilion, and sometimes a sign was hanging on the door. There was only one word on the sign: There is. When the word ‘Thereis’ was hanging on the door of the train wagon, the train was loaded with coffins. These coffins will soon be carried by train to the suburbs.”“MyCity” was written in the 1970s. The ninth chapter describes the train carrying coffins from Hung Hom Railway Station to Wo Hop Shek. The word “There is” written on the sign is just the opposite of the fate of the coffin. You can say there is, but actually there isn’t.”There are people who are used to seeing the piece of card on the wagon’s door, so no one is afraid of it. Passers-by do not even know the meaning of the word on the card.”The author laments the objects and values of Hong Kong are disappearing, the same as the coffins taken away by train. Is it the same to you when there is or there isn’t?”There were no people in the Farewell Pavilion at the moment, and a few gray train wagons were opposite the pavilion.”At that time, people did not care. Sadly, Hong Kong, after almost 40 years, remained heartless. The pace of disappearance however, becomes faster and faster. “Every single day in this city, there are these and those things silently bidding farewell, gradually disappearing.”

What is in this grey train wagon? Tin Hau, Lok Fu, Kellet Island, Kwun Tong, Rennie’s Mill, Mong Kok, Hoi Sham Island, Sunny Bay There is, There isn’t…What are the people next to the grey train wagon crying at? What is hanging on the train? The train door has a sign hanging on it“Thereis”What is the crane pulling up? Statue Square, Tai Hom Village, Tsui Ping Estate, Lai Chi, Euston Castle, Lai Yuen, Lee Theatre, Queen’s Pier… There is, There isn’t…Descending slowly from the sky, disappearing into the grey train wagon. There are a few grey train wagons inside the train, they also have signs “thereis”hanging on them. Statue, Clock Tower, Pawn, Tai Pai Dong (Cooked-Food Stalls), Poor Men’s Night Club, Neon Lights, Airport… all inside the train wagon. There is, There isn’t…Later on, the coffins will be shipped away. There is not a single person crying at this moment. There are these and those things in this city, Silently bidding farewell, disappearing gradually…
