Description

Description

Annisa Cheung Ching-yu (BMus4)
Inspired by the poem, Lullaby from Far Away by Shang Qin The Ravine of Forest Lawn

Virginia Wan Lok-yi (MMus2)
There is this ravine in my neighborhood surrounded by trees. I used to get in there for a walk when I got tired and wanted a break. When you stand at the entrance, you feel and hear the wind calling, and eventually leading you into the ravine, guiding you through different rises and falls.

Sea Scraped Esther Wu Chi-ching (BMus4)
The piece is inspired by Richard Long’s famous artwork “A Line made by Walking”, where the artist walked back and forth everyday on the specific field around London’s Waterloo station until the grass was flattened and became a visible line in the sunlight, leaving the consequences to the natural phenomenon, which was the moment when photography took an important place. The same beautiful image appears in the sea、 its existence is hinged on anyone and anything passing by, which is the moment when music composition takes an important place.

Breeze Trail Law Koon Him (BMus4)
ふわり浮かぶ風今は見えないけど確かに見えたの一重の風跡- いきものがかり”残り風”歌詞より (作詞:山下穂尊)
Translation: Although the breeze cannot be seen Its trail can yet be discovered – From Ikimono-gakari “Nokori-Kaze(Wind’s Remnant)” (Lyrics by Hotaka Yamashita)

Five Sketches for the Silk Road
Hippocrates Cheng Ching-nam (MMus2)
This piece is inspired by my experience on visiting Silk Road two years ago and the photos taken by my friend .Thank you TonyBear again for the wonderful visuals. Sketch 1: Danxia landform of Zhangye Sketch 2: Gansu Labrang Monastery Sketch 3: Qilian Mountains Qaidam Basin Sketch 4: Dunhuang Singing Sands Mountain (Mingsha Shan) Sketch 5: Luoyang Longmen Grottoes

Lapsing Realm Law Koon Him (BMus4)
Tread lightly, and stride into darkness. Seek with clarity, and glance through lapses. Listen to the fidelity, and yet the abyss isn’t tuneless.

Knack of the lost Soul Hippocrates Cheng Ching-nam (MMus2)
Knack of the lost soul talks about the story of a Cantonese Opera Actress who lost her soul and ability of speech.
