A Musical Treasure Hunt-Embark on a magical eco journey

Description

Description

Gems of Chinese music to be discovered through a fun walk through Chinese culture
Come for an adventure through a forest full of earth-friendly treasures! In this hourlong musical theatre, Quek Ling Kiong, Resident Conductor of the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, will play the Forest Host, Mr Quek, and take us on a treasure hunt. With the musicians of the orchestra playing different dramatic roles and the narration supported by staging, projection, lighting, etc., a fun-filled musical performance suitable for all age groups takes shape. The children among the audience will transform into young adventurers, and led by Mr Quek, go seek out the mysteries of Chinese instrumental music. They will enter the magical realm where classics from around the world burst into myriad colours. Through interactive introductions, the children learn more about the eco-huqin series, and ‘things Chinese’. This is a concert experience at its best, and edutainment that lets your imagination take flight!
