Brio was founded in 2008 by a group of choral singing enthusiasts who have been training together since they were teenagers. The group has performed at many events, including a Guinness World Record-breaking banquet with over 23,000 audience members in West Kowloon in February 2013.

Later in 2013, Brio composed and recorded the jingles for “Music is All Around”, an RTHK radio program. In May 2014, the group was selected to perform in an a cappella master class taught by the world-renowned group The King’s Singers. Brio’s members attended The King’s Singers Summer School in 2015 and 2017 in the UK, and organised the first Purple Vocals Pop-Up Studio in Hong Kong – Vocal Ensemble Workshop by Paul Phoenix.

The group’s repertoire is diverse, ranging from sacred music, folk songs, contemporary classics, musical numbers and original remixes.
