Description
The Asia Pacific Dance Competition was founded by the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing, Australia with the aim of encouraging the art of dance and providing students of dance from countries throughout the region with the chance of getting together to learn from each other through friendly competition. In 2012, the grand function was hosted by Hong Kong for the first time. Over 1000 participants (person-time) from the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and China (including Beijing, Shenzhen, Macau and Hong Kong) joined the competition. It is hoped that the culture of dance will be further developed and exchange between dancers enhanced.
