“Today is the past of tomorrow” Lee Kit and Kingsley Ng Exhibition

Description

Description

Situated at the seaside of North Point for over a century, this historic architecture holds countless stories. Her past lives have inspired plenty of creative workers and have fueled many exceptionally creative art projects.

The new space of Oi! that is currently under construction situates between the past and the future. Artists create in-situ artworks that depict their perception towards the past, present and future. Lee Kit’s Garden of Hong Kong comprises daily objects, moving images and familiar tunes, which channels a cordial atmosphere from afar towards this historic redbrick architecture. Kingsley Ng’s Flow, which is inspired by the captivating theory of “water memory”, invites us into a timeless realm with only water droplets glowing and floating across in the air in total darkness.
