Beethoven’s Pastoral – Sounds of Nature

Description

Description

The “Pastoral” is one of Beethoven’s most popular and well-loved symphonies, with its marvellous depiction of life in the countryside tinged with humour, affection and great charm. Alongside the performance, Beethoven scholar Prof Daniel Chua and conductor Dorian Wilson discuss how the Sixth Symphony is a deeply personal statement from Beethoven and also share their own feelings about this masterpiece.

The programme will be conducted in English. This concert runs 60 minutes approximately, without an intermission.
