There’s A Song In My Heart

Description

Description

Tunes from the much-loved Cantonese music repertoire and Hong Kong’s very own; There’s a Song in My Heart is now into its third season, following the roaring success of its two former sold-out concert series. Gaohu virtuoso Yu Qiwei has been once again invited to be the Artistic Adviser for the upcoming series to impart his expert knowledge of Cantonese music to the young musicians of the HKCO. They will be joined by Yim Hok-man, Leader of the HKCO’s Folk Music Ensemble, and students from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts for a concert imbued with the lyricism of the music of South China. It will be both a carrying forth of the legacy and an enjoyable experience for the audience, with its richly varied programme featuring the ‘five-piece-combo’, solos and the retro sounds of ‘Spiritual Music’. The familiar melodies would take many in the audience on a journey back in time, and enjoy fragments of memories from a golden past.
