Description
Young musicians from bands and Chinese orchestras will perform an array of works at the final two joint concerts to be presented by the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department in May.
The band concert will be held at 8pm on May 9 (Saturday) at the Theatre of Ko Shan Theatre, featuring three bands, namely the Music Office Youth Brass Band, the Kowloon Youth Symphonic Band and the New Territories Youth Symphonic Band. Under the batons of conductors Hanson Tsang, Henry Cheng, Palas Chan, Dr Darren Ho, Au Wai-see, Desmond Tse and Lee Sing-wan, the bands will perform works including Caudill’s “Folklore for Band” arranged by Blanken, Mendelssohn’s “Concertpiece No. 2” arranged by Gee and Disney animation tunes in “Symphonic Highlights from Frozen”.
