Metamorphosis is the transformation of life from one stage to the next, as in caterpillar transforms into butterfly. For the past 10 years, Hong Kong Youth Handbell Ensemble never ceases to explore new possibilities and breakthroughs in handbell performance, bringing surprises to audiences in every concert. Today the ensemble has transformed itself and shines on stages around the world, receiving high praises from audiences everywhere. Their achievement has brought great honor to Hong Kong’s handbell community. In this concert, HKYHE-Elite will debut the full range of handbell instrument, 7-octave handbells (85 notes) and 6 octave handchimes (73 notes). From classical to pop selections, program highlights include: Tempest, Moon Over the Ruined Castle, Andromeda, Danse Marcabe and Firerwork etc. With the biggest setting ever on stage and the diversify performance arrangement, Elite ringers will lead you through the journey of metamorphosis with surprises and enjoyment!
