Rachmaninov’s Paganini Rhapsody

Description

Acclaimed for her rich and colourful tones and unique gift of story-telling, Nareh Arghamanyan was the winner of the 2008 Montréal International Music Competition, the 2007 Piano Campus International Competition in Pontoise and the 2005 Josef Dichler Piano Competition in Vienna. In her Hong Kong début, she will be playing Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Hong Kong Sinfoniettaand guest conductor Christoph Poppen. Currently the Principal Guest Conductor of Cologne Chamber Orchestra, Christoph Poppen was the Music Director of Deutsche Radio Philharmonic, Artistic Director of Music Chamber Orchestra & ARD International Music Competition and the co-founder of Cherubini Quartet. Programme also includes Webern’s String Quartet (1905) and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3, “Scottish”.
