Description
Description
In this work two choreographers, each from different countries, open a spectrum of views as they present their collaborative production. Shifting the audienceʼs sight lines, they create an interactive experience which delves into the strategies we use to overcome boundaries and limitations. The studio theatre will be transformed into an environment that is at the same time containing and boundless as the dancers, physical movements, setting, visual effects and music lead the audience into a labyrinth of passages and chambers. Doing away with fixed seating, the piece uses rolling panels which are shifted periodically to reconfigure the performance space. The dancers move the panels into different configurations during the work, blocking certain views and opening up others. The audience also moves throughout the piece, adapting to these evolving configurations, at times dispersing around or encircling the performers. Through these changing perspectives the audience will weave their way through the ever changing environment of the work both physically and metaphorically
Choreographers:Pewan Chow; Rosalind Newman
