To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Chinese Youth Orchestra (HKYCO), various generations of the members will pay homage to the orchestra through an all-time favorite rendition under the batons of Music Office Instructors Tsui Ying-fai, Kwok Kin-ming and former Music Officer of the Chinese Section of the Music Office, Ho Man-chuen. The concert features dazzling masterpieces of drums and orchestra Flying Dragon and Jumping Tiger with prolific Music Office alumni, Chin Kwok-wai as leading percussionist and Principal pipa of the orchestra, Leung Ka-lok as soloist playing the mesmerising Pipa Concerto Hua Mulan. Other programme highlights include The Departure of Zhaojun by Wang Huiran and Hong Kong premiere of Hope for a Blissful Future by Liu Changyuan.Let’s celebrate and join this exulting “Passing on the Torch” reunion concert by HKYCO!
