Founded in 2007 as a registered charity, Premiere Performances brings the world’s best classical musicians to Hong Kong for solo recitals and chamber music. With the opening of Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts, we will present a Pop-Up Concert for the public to experience world class music in an intimate, brand new venue.
Formed in 2015, the Ulysses Quartet has already been collecting major prizes on the competition scene, including first prize at the 2018 Schoenfeld International Chamber Music Competition, the Grand Prize and the Gold Medal in the Senior String Division of the 2016 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, First Place in the American Prize, and 2nd Prize of the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in 2017.
Hailing from Canada, the United States and Taiwan, members have performed in prestigious halls such as Esterházy Palace, Carnegie Hall, and the Taiwan National Concert Hall. Recent season highlights include appearances at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, La Jolla Music Society SummerFest, and Emilia Romagna Festival.
