Limited Edition of Picasso’s Prints

Description

Description

Picasso is one of the most influential figures in the 20th century art history. His art works include oil paintings, drawings, sculptures, collages, and ceramics etc. He is one of the few artists who can be both prolific and financially successful throughout the life time. His success is based on all the art techniques and theory trainings that he acquired in his young age. Picasso and Georges Braque developed cubism painting style which revolutionized the field of art and moved him up in the world. As a result, he has become extremely prominent and valuable artist in the century.

It is the biggest Picasso exhibition ever held in the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. In total 55 paintings will be displayed. Including well-known pieces such as “La fillette aux pieds nus (The barefoot girl),” “Le sculpteur (The Sculptor),” and “Portrait de Dora Maar (Portrait of Dora Maar).” His other works that closely related to his personal life, “Femme assise dans un fauteuil rouge (Woman sitting on a red chair),” and more will be displayed as well.

In order to honor this incredible event, 20 carefully selected silkscreen printed Picasso prints copies which authorized by Picasso Foundation will be available for sale to the public. Hong Kong will only get 50 limited sets. And these sets are representing Picasso’ s matured printing skills on both traditional and cubism, which is valuable for arts learning. This set uses high quality printmaking paper, Arches 88. And every piece of paper contains Picasso’s signature and the authorization parties’ watermark and numbered edition. It is of high collection and appreciation value.

An exhibition of these 20 copies will be hold at ArtOne, Wanchai. We are looking forward to seeing you at the exhibition.
