Description

Description

On the mountain occasionally is a proposal for action. Occasionally let yourself quiet, to let body and mind to observe and to feel the surrounding environment, to get to know the familiar yet estrange city space again, so as to relink our stories and local history together. Exhibition has two venues, exhibiting Asia Seed participated students whose age from 14-18 with their animation, photography, idea, video and objects, as well as the works and documentation of the Asia Seed study trip in Thailand and Taiwan.

In Form Society, there will showcase Taiwanese artist Zhang Xu-zhan and Hong Kong artist Wong Tin-yan co-led stop motion animation workshop. Students underwent inspection, field research, interview and on-site shooting, to discover the tradition and culture from the shops in Hong Kong Central and Western district, for instance, coffin shop, coffin home, traditional Chinese flower banner, papier-mache offering, tea house, Shanghai barber, dried seafood, handmade shoe, printing… through on site engagement to narrow the gap between the knowledge and current living, to combine own idea and experience into creation, so to explore the existing value and possibility of tradition in modern life, and to take “craft” or “technique” as a possible way to connect people for now and from the past.
