Island-Solo Exhibition of Thickest Choi
Visual Arts

Description
Description
The earliest land reclamation in Hong Kong Island can be traced back to mid-19th century. The rapid urban development has irrevocably changed the landscape and coastline of Hong Kong and it is still changing every day. New land was created; meanwhile harbour, islands and sea bays disappeared without any traces and often left unacknowledged. The dramatic transformation of land provokes Thickest Choi and he decides to draw up his own daring and devastating plan for the city. Over the course of the exhibition, Thickest Choi will draw his plan on the present map of Hong Kong. Audience is invited to participate to create the new land and develop the future of the city.
