Essence of Nature

Description

Description

Artists Gill Cohn, Mick Chan and Yusuke Takemura had a natural affection towards nature. They are attracted and inspired by the beautiful coloring / patterning / sensation of the nature in everyday life which leads them to the creation of their works.

Gill’s starting point lies in the shapes, lines and textures of Nature…
“I find elements from different natural sources and combine them creating a new entity. I work intuitively, one thing leading to another. There is the initial stimulus of beauty together with my curiosity …. I plunge into the work and magic sometimes happens!”

Mick’s passionate feeling towards nature makes him paints it down to share…
“The wonders of nature has always inspires and moves me, normally I capture those moments using my camera—the color of the sunset, the breeze from the sea, the movement of the clouds… and now I’m bringing it out on canvas.”

Yusuke’s sensation about life brings him to the development of the Kareha series…
“Lotus always touches me deep inside, when I saw the leaves died and got shrank, for me, it still has life as an object… it also makes me think about the meaning of life.”
