Blue Whispers

Description
Description
Japanese artist, Kojiro, holds a deep affinity to the colour of blue. To him, “blue” signifies the ocean, the mother earth as well as the universe and his paintings are to bear witness to his emotions and statements of his philosophical points of view.
“Life forms arise from the blue oceans and continue within us, while the universe embraces all tenderly. Human beings are very much an integral part of the oceans, the earth and the universe,” Kojiro interprets. “An invisible bond ties us all together.”
The hybridization of values and cultures, the corruption of human beings’ relationships with nature and among themselves are constantly shaking up our existing ways of life, forcing us to search for the meaning of our existence, he says.
Blue, to him, is the limitless space of the universe and the infinite depth of the oceans. Through seeking the true meaning of the intertangling relationships, Kojiro derides his main motivation to create. He says that his paintings are actually the visualizations of the whispers that he is continuously receiving. His job is to pass these messages along to the viewers
Born in 1977, Kojiro majored in oil painting and graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He is now living and working in Tokyo.
