Pizzicati

Introduction

“Pizzicati” was founded in 2011 and registered as a non-profit making performing organization by a group of youngsters in 2013. Adopting Liuqin and Ruans as the foundation of the ensemble, “Pizzicati” aims to promote Chinese instrumental music and to explore the possibility of blending Chinese and Western music.

Members of “Pizzicati” received music training at Music Office and have been recipients of numerous awards in Hong Kong School Music Festivals. Some of the members were selected as “RTHK 2011 Young Music Makers”. All members have extensive experiences in performance both in Hong Kong and overseas. Since the establishment of the ensemble, “Pizzicati” has been invited to present performances in Hong Kong, Macau and Wuhan.
