Classic pieces in The Four Dreams at Linchuan by Tang Xianzu are timelessly popular. Legendary artists including Cai Zhengren, Yue Meiti, Liang Guyin, Zhang Xunpeng and Zhang Jingxian will lead a fine cast to perform in the Kunqu vocal concert The Four Dreams at Linchuan. The finest pieces from the four dreams will be showcased in the same evening. In the four dreams, The Peony Pavilion is by far the most widely spread and the most popular Kunqu Opera title. Renowned Kunqu artists Cai Zhengren, Liang Guyin and Zhang Xunpeng will join the virtuous cast of the troupe to stage this classic masterpiece, certainly a not-to-be-missed performance. The excerpt performance comprises of both civil and military highlights that feature both highly technical singing and thrilling actions. Cai Zhengren will put his signature acting of Welcoming the Statue and Lamenting the Statue from The Palace of Eternal Life on stage. He will once again move the Hong Kong audience with his interpretation of the profound love and sentiments of Emperor Ming of Tang.
