Description

Description

New Gallery on Old Bailey is pleased to present a major retrospective exhibition devoted to the work of Lam Yuk Fai. The show will begin on September 14, followed by a cocktail reception on September 22 and run through October 22, 2011.

Lam Yuk Fai is an accomplished and influential photo re-toucher and artist in the 80s. For more than 30 years, his works has been showcased in over 40 national and international exhibitions. This show surveys Lam’s rich and diverse oeuvre from the 1980s to the present – the full span of his art career. It highlights Lam’s works in three major series: “Family & I”, “Country & I” and “Heaven & I”. Some of the works come from the artist’s own archive. In honor of the centenary of China’s 1911 Revolution this year, a series of paintings depicting Dr. Sun Yet-sen will also be presented.
