REDEFINING FLUTE is a flute recital with different genres of flute music from classics to contemporary music. Public always presumes flute as an elegant instrument and as “the bird” in the instrumental family. However, flute has more possibilities to offer than just being a “bird”! In this concert, let us guide you through all those known and unknown perspective of the flute and redefine its elegance!

Giulio Briccialdi (1818-1881) – Variations on the Carnival of Venice, Op. 78
Claudio Ambrosini (1948) – Classifying the Thousand Shortest Sounds in the World (2012) for flute solo written for Federica Lotti
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) – 12 Variations on “Ah vous dirais-je, Maman”, K.265 (1781-82) arr. for flute quartet and piano
Goffredo Petrassi (1904-2003) – Dialogo Angelico for two flutes (1948)
Domenico Cimarosa (1749-1801) – Concerto for two flutes and orchestra arr. for flute orchestra, G.1077 (1793)
