Children’s Cantonese Opera – “The Quest for the Moon Fairy”

Description

Description

The Quest for the Moon Fairy is the first Children’s Cantonese Opera written for and on the children. The opera’s storyline begins when five siblings sneak out of their home, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, in search of the Moon Fairy. While playing in the Lantern Market, they run into trouble and their adventure soon finds them returning home to seek the help of their mother. The Quest for the Moon Fairy is a modified Children’s Cantonese Opera. It keeps all the essential elements of traditional Cantonese Operas in various aspects, following strictly the rules and confinement along the path of Cantonese Opera.
