Description
Alibaba and Forty Thieves is a well-known story from the medieval Arabic collection, “Thousand and One Nights”. Alibaba discovers a cave, occupied by thieves and lots of treasure, and brings home some gold coins. His greedy brother Kasim then forces Alibaba to take him to the cave.
Naive Theatre Liberec transports the story to the fascinating realm of puppet theatre, with a production combining art, humour and oriental charm. In the performance, the main characters are played by skillful puppeteers and their puppets, while the thieves, who form a forty-member choir, are played by a mechanically-controlled prop.
