Marriage Made In Heaven

Description

Description

The troops of Eastern Liao kingdom invade Western Qin kingdom. Western Qin seeks help from Southern Yan kingdom. Military general of Southern Yan, An Dinghua, wins the battle and captures the Liao Princess, Zhao Sulan. Prince Yulin of Southern Yan ascends the throne. In order to honour the triumph, he intends to marry Princess Fengyi to An Dinghua. However, Fengyi has made a secret promise to marry the King of Western Qin, Ding Yaolong, therefore she rejects Dinghua. Dinghua peeps into the royal garden where the queen and the princess are playing. He is then penalized to kneeling. Subsequently, Dinghua incidentally picks up the queen’s imperial jade pellet. He plans to send it to Yaolong as a gift so as to ruin the marriage between Yaolong and Fengyi as well as to avenge the queen. The queen is therefore sent to prison. On the other hand, Dinghua tells Yaolong that Yulin has plans for invasion, so Yaolong hurries back to his kingdom. Unexpectedly, Princess Fengyi secretly visits the queen in the prison, she makes the false announcement of the queen’s death and saves the queen out of the prison. She also goes to visit Yaolong; after investigation, she goes back to the imperial court with Yaolong to make a defence. Dinghua knows that his ploy failed. His conscience also wins over as he thinks that the queen died out of his wrongdoing, so he makes a submission to the imperial court to admit his crime. Yulin then demotes him to defend at the far borders against Eastern Liao. Fengyi impersonates as a monk and makes Yulin believe that they could summon the queen’s ghost, so as to renew the bond between Yulin and the queen.
