Wearing The Willow
Description
Description
“Wearing the Willow” shares the message that the most painful thing about breaking up is not the loss of a lover, but the loss of oneself. The story takes place in the evening of Valentine’s Day. Having just broken up with her boyfriend, Rainbow feels despondent about life and love. She escapes to the music room of a deserted secondary school and plans to take her own life there. There she meets Mac, a stranger who is whiling away his time with beer and cigarettes. Rainbow pleads with him to leave so she can end her life, but Mac refuses to budge and the two end up spending the night together.
