Karen’s Meadow Cantonese Opera Studio

Introduction

Non-profit Cantonese opera organisation established by Karen Wang Kit-ching in 2006. Wang received the Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts (Cantonese Opera), and then received the Young Cantonese Opera Outstanding Artist Award co-presented by RTHK and the Cantonese Opera Academy for Hong Kong

Productions included Diao Chan in the Romance of three Kingdoms (2008), Song Jiang Kills Yan Poxi (2012), A Heroine in Chinese — Zhang Yue Zhao (2013), In Memory of the Hong Kong Old Sixties (2014)

Wang took lead in delivering voluntary services by way of running programmes of Cantonese opera workshops for the students at primary schools and visiting elderlies in villages on 2013 and 2014, after the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake in China.
