Burn After Reading

Description

Description

“Burn After Reading” reflects the tension derived from the consumption process right after the reception of message(s). Sometimes, it might appear that there is a necessity, even urgency, for us to destroy the host and/or the evidence on our communication tools.
The phrase also reminds us of the fact that all tangible and intangible matters are momentary: be they thoughts, words, books, or arts, they could vanish before we knew it.
This exhibition brings together images and artists’ books, to explore how these objects fade from, while lingering in, both individual and collective memories.
The artist duo draws inspiration from their own observations on historical and social events; for some years now, they have also been paying a great deal of attention on exploring the use of books and printed matters as forms of artistic approach.
