Every year, Through Our Eyes (TOE) Photography Education Programme holds an exhibition – in different forms and styles – to showcase students’ work as the programme comes to its end. The works display this year in Photo Matters: Book and Print Festival 2016 are the result of students’ exploration and reconfiguration of books, magazines and other forms of paper. Imaginative and innovative, the students experimented with materials, sizes, printing, layout and even the way they turned the page. During the process, they were presented with the infinite possibilities of photo reading by playing with elements such as time, sequence, speed and pace. Using paper as the unchanging medium, they tried to embody different styles, different sentiments and different stories through the connecting images.
