Visual Arts

Description
Description
Sino Group initiated the Sino Art programme in 2006 to bring art into people’s daily lives. Following the success of public art galleries in Central Plaza lobby and OC Gallery in Olympian City, Sino Art is delighted to collaborate with EDGE Gallery to bring a series of exciting art exhibitions titled CHKC Art Walk Series to China Hong Kong City’s five office towers.
The third exhibition in the series features three talented artists, Elise Lai from Hong Kong, Frank Vigneron from France and Yan Renkui from China. The three artists from different cultural backgrounds each interpret the meaning of “delightful” by using beautiful colours and lines. Lai is interested in asking questions about the lives of urban people, using a colourful palette to joyfully interpret everyday life. The hand drawn graphic works of Professor Vigneron are inspired by New Confucianism and project a calm, harmonious optimism. Yan uses positive idioms to reinterpret New Fables and bring audiences into his imaginary world.
Note:This event record is compiled from "Hong Kong Visual Arts Yearbook 2010" published by Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
